Hello Family and Friends!

As we start July,so much has happened in the last 3 months that we want to share with you! International travel has really opened up. COVID restrictions have been greatly reduced in the Philippines. The kids of HHCR celebrated graduations and the start of summertime activities. And our family got to visit the USA for some very important family moments! God has been very good to us! We pray you and your family are also enjoying the blessings of the Lord!

Graduation!

The kids of HHCR have worked very hard during the 2021-2022 school year. Due to the reasons they are at HHCR, each student has some “catching up” to do in order to get back on track with other students their age. At HHCR, we allow space for this educational gap. Our students are having to juggle more than the average student. We don’t want them to feel the pressure to “catch up”. Instead our goal is to help them heal physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. We believe that as each child becomes healthy in those areas, the educational aspect will also begin to resolve. At graduation each year we celebrate our students’ progress in their individual journeys! God is doing so much behind the scenes, in the heart of each child. It is a privilege to watch Him work!

24 youth are baptized! They want to world to know they follow Jesus!

24 Are Baptized!

In May, a total of 24 youth made the choice to be baptized! A combination of HHCR youth and the youth from our community church, Happy Church, decided to go public with their faith in Jesus Christ! In the life of a believer, baptism is a special moment. We took the youth to a public beach. That day, over 100 people were there to enjoy the ocean. Our group started singing and worshiping the Lord, and the others watched and listened. We then went into the water and one by one each person confessed their faith in Jesus, and were baptized. We celebrated and worshiped the Lord together!
