Valentine’s Party!

In the Philippines Valentine’s Day is a fun celebration often referred to as “Hearts Day”. Many Filipinos really enjoy romantic movies and singing love songs (karaoke is a favorite pastime).
At Happy Horizons, we want to make sure the kids know about God’s great love for them. Each year we have a Hearts Day party to celebrate the God who loves them. God knows their story. He knows their thoughts and silent prayers. He loves them just the way they are. Our prayer is that the kids will take joy and peace in knowing His great love for them!

New Happy House! - UPDATE
HHCR is believing God for a NEW Happy House. This project has two major phases - 1. Land Purchase. 2. Building the Dorm. There are partners willing to help with Phase 2, but we must purchase the land first! The Lord has supplied funds for the land. God and His people are so generous! We are trusting God to supply the rest.
Happy House is the city-based location for Happy Horizons. This house is a safe home for HHCR students getting ready to launch out. The students living at Happy House are finishing high school or attending college. Thank you to Project Rescue for providing college scholarships for HHCR students!
The current Happy House is not big enough to hold the number of students who need to live there. Also, the current House is in a flood-prone area. In the last 12 months, Happy House has endured multiple floods.
We have already picked out new land (not in a flood-prone area) that is in a safe community with better road access and closer proximity to the church that the students attend. Please join us in prayer for this opportunity! Things are moving more slowly than we were expecting with the land acquisition. Pray that the paperwork and red tape are pushed along expediently.

The children at HHCR are amazing people! They are here because those who should have loved and protected them did not or could not. Now, HHCR has taken on the responsibility of raising them. And we love what we do! But any parent of teenagers can tell you that feeding and educating teens is not easy or cheap! At HHCR, we do our best to keep our costs down. Each meal is only a $1.50. Education is about $3 a day. But then there are family visits, court cases, medical needs, clothes, shoes, counseling… These are daily needs. You can help! $5 or $50, no gift is too small. Every donation goes towards helping raise the amazing children at HHCR! Thank you.
