Graduation CONGRATULATIONS

Samantha in her cap and gown for college graduation. Way to go, Samantha!

Samantha has been at HHCR since she was 9 years old. This year she is graduating college with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Elementary Education.

I hope one day you get the opportunity to meet Samantha. She is a joy to talk with. She is down to earth and full of faith! She could tell you all that the Lord has done in her life. The songs that God has placed in her heart. How worship music has changed her life! I remember sitting with her as she was learning a new song and asking about what the Bible really says. So we opened the Word of God together. She could tell you of great days and not-so-great days. And how the Lord has been with her in the ups and downs of life. She would tell you it has not been easy. And she would tell you the Lord is faithful!

Samantha loves Jesus. And we trust that He will continue to be the lamp to her feet and light to her path.

Congratulations, Samantha! You have worked hard and honored the Lord. We are very proud of you. Keep Him first in all you do and He will make your paths straight.

New Safe House! - UPDATE

HHCR has purchased land for the new Safe House!

If you would like to help with this project please [CLICK Here] - AG Giving website, and Happy Horizons account 039222, project number (62) Happy House.

The Safe House is called “Happy House” by the girls who live there. Happy House is the city-based location for Happy Horizons. This house is a safe home for HHCR girls who are newly arriving OR getting ready to launch out. The students living at Happy House are finishing high school or attending college. Thank you to Project Rescue for providing college scholarships for HHCR students!

The current Happy House is not big enough to hold the number of students who need to live there. Also, the current House is in a flood-prone area. In the last 12 months, Happy House has endured multiple floods.

We have just purchased the new lot (not in a flood-prone area) that is in a safe community with better road access and closer proximity to the church that the students attend. Please join us in prayer for the next phase - building the Safe House!

Here and There

We have traveled literally coast-to-coast across our beautiful country here in the USA. There are some breathtaking views. One of our favorite things is meeting God’s people all over the USA. We are of the opinion that God is doing remarkable things across the USA! Thank you to so many who have invited us, encouraged us, and prayed with us. For us, it is a real blessing to see what the Lord is doing in your part of the USA. This photo is of the amazing children’s ministers at Harvest Church in Arizona. Those yellow shirts represent BGMC!

Our goal is to return to the Philippines in July. We have almost reached our budget goals. Please join us in prayer, and if you are able, add a couple of dollars to your gift. It will make all the difference!

The children at HHCR are amazing people! They are here because those who should have loved and protected them did not or could not. Now, HHCR has taken on the responsibility of raising them. And we love what we do! But any parent of teenagers can tell you that feeding and educating teens is not easy or cheap! At HHCR, we do our best to keep our costs down. Each meal is only a $1.50. Education is about $3 a day. But then there are family visits, court cases, medical needs, clothes, shoes, counseling… These are daily needs. You can help! $5 or $50, no gift is too small. Every donation goes towards helping raise the amazing children at HHCR! Thank you.
